Nana's Manners is a family-owned children's cutlery company founded by Kathryn Baldrey-Chourio.

Kathryn, who was a primary school teacher for 10 years and has two young children, saw the struggle many youngsters had with knives and forks and decided to do something about it. As a teacher she had used pencil grips, training scissors, easy grip rulers, yet there was no cutlery out there that works this way. Research and a patent search confirmed this, so she set about designing some herself.

Nana’s Manners was born through a belief of helping children to learn the brilliant basics through product innovation. Through simple and effective designs, our products are developed to empower children learning everyday life skills independently whilst helping to build their confidence in the world around them.

Lafontaine PR was appointed to handle the publicity around the owners’ successful appearance on the final of BBC’s Dragons’ Den on 1 October 2017. Through carefully targeting national newspapers, parenting magazines, business titles and broadcast, Lafontaine PR helped generate interest of the products and brand awareness.
